These basic features are necessary to effectively warm the bunk and keep you comfortable:
• The on the mattress system puts all the heat in the bed. For maximum efficiency and comfort, the heat needs to be underneath you. Electric blankets are not as effective since they lose half the heat directly into the air.
• There has to be enough wattage (heat output) for fast warm-up in the coldest weather. ElectroWarmth® has the longest heat reserve available.
• Automatic Heat Regulation with a variety of settings. ElectroWarmth® comes equipped with the Comfort Control thermostat.
The width of the mattress determines the
size of 12 VOLT electrowarmth® Bedwarmer You need.
The model number specifies the width, for example the T30 is 30 inches wide. The bed warmer can be narrower, but not wider than the mattress. Narrow sizes can be used for one side of a larger bed. For example: a model T30 which fits mattress for a single sized bed can be used on one side of a queen size bed and the T36, which fits a twin sized mattress, can be used on one side of a king size bed. Models T54D and T60D are equipped with dual controls, one for each half of the bed.
12 volt bunk warmers measure 60" in length. They are complete with the automatic Comfort Control. This thermostat adjusts the bed warmth in response to any change in temperature. Select the warmth you enjoy and it will automatically maintain this comfort level. If the room cools, it responds with just the right amount of heat to keep you comfortable. If the cab warms up, it cuts the heat back accordingly. There is no heat under the pillow.
The model number of an ElectroWarmth® 12 Volt Bunk Warmer consists of two or three parts:
• A letter indicating the power source needed. "T" models are powered by 12 volt current.
• A number indicating the width. For example with the model T30, "30" indicates that the bedwarmer is 30 inches wide.
• In the larger models, a "D" indicates dual Comfort Control units, one for each side of the bunk warmer.
